Pain in the ass at CVS!!!!

They make you scan your tampons for your wife yourself!! Don't they know that the cashiers will ultimately lose their jobs??

I don't like being forced to scan my wife's tampons by cashiers that are forced to direct me to the self check-out wife tampon scanners.

Thank goodness Walgreens and Rite Aid still use real people to check out your wife's pons or shields.

It will be a long time before scanner machines will be able to organize to get fair wages and health insurance and a long time before they can boil potatoes, add milk and butter and mash them.

Yes, the cashiers are sometimes rude apathetic turd breath jerks but that's because they had a bad day or week. I can be nice and they can then appreciate me or proposition me for discaounted sexual favors behind a dumpster. The scanner doesn't even know that I'm really there or into body salt water taffy velcro dumpster spankings .

Well maybe if the cashiers arent cashiers they can go to school and learn how to rebuild air conditioners and dishwashing units. That would be very helpful but still, what's wrong with an honest cashier trade?? Not a damn thing, stupid ass! If a cashier wants to go to school on the side, do it but still be proud to be a cashier and organize against the self check-out scanners!!

And yes it is odd that I am more embarassed by a self check-out scanner scanning my wife's maxi's than a real human cashier. I have absolutely no excuse for that which is reasonable. I think it's just my desire for people to earn any wage blinds me in a way.

2011 Winding Down/2012 Yip Yip!

It has been a good year for comedic voice development. There were many days to explore talking to audiences which now seems to be easier. Riffing is gaining rewards from audiences in the moment and crafted material has been acquired. Stand Up NY was good. Stuff out of the city was good. Definately time to put what I've been doing out there. Confident that whatever my instincts tell me comedically, they are right. It's almost always right to do what I do at a mic, but I mean it's nice to really know that what I do at clubs/clubbish venues/booked shows is seeming very right to do.

Good year for creativity and for responsibility. 2011 is what makes 2012 so exciting. Have to not forget 2011 and the past, almost 10 years of straight commitment (add 2 years with big gaps and short form/film experience. Something drives me to do this and make most people laugh and say woo woo wowzie woop!

So sorry about the neglect of this majestic blog. It's been too damn long! Eddie Trunk is playing great metal right now on 104.3. Check out That Metal Show on VH1. What's up guys!! My shows are kicking up and a video will be coming out soon. I really like my comedy voice right now. Definately looking forward to new people experiencing my current comedy flow. Definately want to get up and down the east coast more this upcoming year and for sure want to get out to the west coast to lay it down. Will definately do more hour shows this year and hope to get some TV and Film exposure! Will be playing some music here and there out at a few places and may even put up some art. To 2012!!

Did one hour, 10 minutes at Austin's Coffee and Film in O-town. Headlined with Dirt McCoy (104.1, straight up funny and raw), Kyle Rogers (Funny-eclectic-musical), Sean Moore (Boston Breed Family Funny) and Clayton Anderson (Stanhope, Funny).
I did some material from "Koo Koo", crowd work, improv, and some new written bits and songs.
Was good to be on stage for that long again and keep the laughs coming, excluding trying to remember my rewritten Newhart bit. Honestly, I could have done without about 10 minutes of my set so, a bodacious hour "Dobbins style".
All comedians did a rad job!! Had a lot of fun!

I Performed live at a Bonkerz in Altamonte Springs, FL last night. It was old school comedic performance art that was not well planned (sometimes it's that kind of night). I protested David Brenner's Merch application on his website by "nonsensing" to the sounds of "Bolero"(which I claimed David Brenner did not fancy) because I will never be able to go on Johnny Carson 150+ times like David Brenner did.

It was anti-70's/80's semantic joke structure to the max! I performed with num-chucks in a gorrilla mask, played recorder, and keyboard melodies in C minor, had a marionette puppet fart drum beats, called on a spirit of a relative's bedroom acoustics to come to altamonte springs to make my keyboard sound louder and closed it out with a reggae riff.

Guess what? the camera didn't record it, so that means it was only meant for the audience of that evening. I know people were moved (even if just their bowels).

This was a pleasant night in the world. The doors were open to the cafe and the crowd was good in spirit and in size considering "cafe size" of the cafe. Everyone was funny. Abbi did straight stand-up and Luke did a commited character called "Shock Therapy". He could have been called any name or said anything because of the commitment of his facial expression.
My set was clean and chill with some improv at the top and in the middle. I have my set recorded and it may be the first one I extract a chunk from to put on YouTUBE.
The show was very enjoyable.

Cassidy Henahan hosted. The show was good besides a technical difficulty for a video, me getting stepped on twice by staff members messing with a ladder with no "excuse me", and the crowd bizarrely not clapping except for like 4 people it seemed as I walked to the stage. So that situation helped create a set long bit...The classic "enormous ego vs. lack of respect". It started a little slow and uncomfortable which was great and then lightened up once I said "watch your purses". Finished pretty strong. I think audience members actually find comedian ego rants to be interesting and slightly uncomfortably funny as long as they are somewhat safe which I feel mine was. However it came off, Big thanks to Cassidy, Melissa, and Piano's for the stage time.

Line-up Maddog Mattern-Host, Matty Goldberg, Rick Shapiro, Eric Andre, Josh Filipowski, Me, Dustin Chaffin. Pretty Good Crowd-Responsive, wanted to play laughter ball.

Very enjoyable experience. I acted like my ex-wife was one of the people that was walkin' out as I was taking the stage and told the crowd about our sour marriage and now how bad things had gotten living with 8 roommates, became a texas pastor, then told 2 jokes.

Everybody had rad sets. It was a lot of fun. Poster out front for show certainly didn't hurt.

Fun show. Andrew Wright, Sean O'Connor, Nick Maritato reminisced the Still Born in the USA tour. Andrew ripped some funny riffs. Tom McCaffrey got busy on the mic and had the crowd going apeshit. I riffed apt. life, rhoids, brazzers bogus, and tp that doesn't save the environment, and Socrates as a vegetarian dick. The crowd was rad and the venue was chill.

Rad show. Joe & Noah told a funny roommate story (undisclosed to protect parties) and read from Tommy Lee's biography and did other funny things. Nick Kroll popped in with some funny character act out bits. Stone and Stone were on fire. I riffed on Paleek Paneer and UFC fighters ultimately intimidated by a comet that will destroy the earth. Check out there show at Rififi on thursday nights at 8pm.
